From 1 September 2026, Hilson Moran will operate as Tyréns Hilson Moran, reflecting its closer alignment with the wider Tyréns Group.
Hilson Moran has been part of the Tyréns Group since 2017, and the new name reflects a closer alignment with the wider Group and its capabilities. Founded in Sweden in 1942, Tyréns is a £250+ million business with 3,000 employees, delivering sustainable and innovative engineering and design services across the built and natural environment.
Operating across Sweden, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Canada, Denmark and the UK, Tyréns brings together a broad range of expertise spanning engineering, design, planning, sustainability and research.
The new name gives greater visibility to the wider Group behind the business, including its international reach, specialist expertise, research capability and investment in innovation.
It also reflects the increasingly interconnected challenges facing the built environment. As clients respond to climate change, infrastructure investment, urbanisation and growing technical complexity, projects increasingly require expertise that spans disciplines, sectors and geographies.
Åsa Holmberg, CEO of Tyréns Group, said:
“Tyréns Hilson Moran plays an important role in the Tyréns Group, bringing engineering expertise across the built environment and a strong understanding of the challenges facing clients in the UK and internationally.
“As the needs of clients and projects continue to evolve, from climate change and infrastructure investment to urbanisation and technical complexity, we believe more connected expertise will be increasingly important. Bringing Hilson Moran more visibly under the Tyréns brand demonstrates our strength and depth, providing easier access to our full capability, including the knowledge, innovation and international experience that defines the Group.”
Andy Grint, Managing Director at Tyréns Hilson Moran, said:
“As Tyréns Hilson Moran, we will continue to provide interdisciplinary advice across the built environment, with a strong focus on sustainability, technical excellence, client care and practical solutions. Being more visibly part of Tyréns gives us clearer access to wider expertise, digital tools, research and international experience where this can support our clients and project teams.”
A key aspect of Tyréns is its foundation ownership model, which supports long-term thinking and enables profits to be reinvested into research, innovation, technical knowledge and the development of people. For clients, this provides continuity, stability and access to wider expertise across the Group.
While the name is changing, the business remains the same. Clients will continue to work with the same teams and trusted contacts, receiving the same high-quality, technically excellent service and client care that have always defined Hilson Moran. The new identity provides a clearer connection to the wider Tyréns Group and the additional expertise, research capability and international experience available across it.
